The applicability of these qualities of Quonset huts could not be ignored by the general public and soon they were used to erect warehouses, stores, shops, garages and even hangars. Quonset huts are inexpensive as compared to traditional construction and take less time to build. The peculiar characteristic of this innovative building is that it is manufactured in parts in the factory and then assembled on the site. However, it may be noted that these metallic structure do not offer much customization over the basic design if one wishes to plant windows etc.
