Prefabricated buildings for dummies
The Seabee Museum and Memorial Park in Davisville, Rhode Island contains a display of Quonset huts. This display honors the historic relationship between the Seabees and Quonset huts that has endured since World War II. Today, of course, Quonset huts are used for more civilian purposes. Farmers use them as storage facilities for grain and crops as their sturdy steel construction is so effective at keeping the elements at bay. That same strength makes Quonset huts attractive to small airplane enthusiasts for housing their planes and related equipment.
